Ag/FFA Posted until Friday, June 2
Chemistry Posted until Friday, June 2
Algebra/Pre-Algebra Posted until Friday, June 2

I've gotten a few questions about the number of openings we have for the 2017-2018 school year. Every year we average about 5-8 open positions. People only notice this when the majority of openings come from one building.

Last year it was North Ward and this year is looks like it will be the High School. I believe we had 9 new people at NW this year counting Mr. O'Hearn and Mr. Wallace. While staff mem-bers moving on is never my hope, our job is to fill those positions with the best people possible.

All of us have a job in this wonderful district because someone left who held it before. This fall there are going to be opportunities for great people to join us and teach the same wonderful students we have had the pleasure of working the last several years.

Things will work out. They always do.

Google Boot Camp Invite from Mrs. Smith

I have decided to hold the 2 day Google Certified Educator Boot Camp workshop on July 10 and 11 from 9-2 each day. Please let me know if you decide you are coming to this 2 day event, so I can plan accordingly. I will prepare you to complete the Google Certified Educator exams that are online.

Also, I will be having more PD sessions on July 24/25 and August 9/10. I will have the topics and times to you in the next couple of week so you can let me know if you would like to attend.

Staff Update - Friday, May 19, 2017

Thank You to Everyone

Before we all go our separate ways for a few weeks, I want to say thank you to everyone for making it another successful school year for our students.

Thank you to our teachers, administrators, secretaries, custodians, aides, volunteers, coaches, athletic directors, parents, community members, school board members, tech department, social workers, library clerks, our friends from EIASE, Dr. Dorner, Mrs. Quinn, the City of Tuscola, Tuscola Police Department, Tuscola Fire Department, our bus drivers, Aramark, Shane and Lindsey Gould, Russ Leigh, Brandon Wright, our Trainer Amy, lunch ladies, everyone from Aramark and I could literally go on and on.

It takes so many wonderful people to have a great school district. Thank you.

Last but certainly not least, thank you to our students. I truly believe we have some of the best and without all of them... there is no us.
