Scholarships:  

 

Eastern Illini Electric Cooperative- EIEC has announced that twelve scholarships, of $2,000 each, will be awarded in 2020 through the Thomas H. Moore Illinois Electric Cooperatives (IEC) Memorial Scholarship Program. Six scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors who are the sons or daughters of an Illinois electric cooperative member receiving service from the cooperative. Applications are available at https://aiec.coop/iec-memorial-scholarship-official-rules/ and are due December 31st, 2019.  

 

National Wild Turkey Federation- The NWTF is again offering the Dr. James Earl Kennamer Academic Scholarship to a graduating senior. Applicants must be a current member of the NWTF. Applications are available in the Core and are due January 1st, 2019.  

 

America's Farmers Grow Ag Leaders Scholarship- This scholarship, sponsored by the Bayer Fund, is available to seniors pursuing an ag related field. Applications are available atffa.org/scholarships and and are due January 15th, 2020.

 

Illinois Farm Bureau Scholarships: The 2020 IAA Foundation Scholarship Application Period is now open. This year’s lineup includes 76 scholarships totaling $118,000 in tuition. Students must from farming families or have an interest in pursuing a degree in an agricultural related field to apply. Applications are available online at http://www.iaafoundation.org and are 

due February 1, 2020. 




Tuscola Women's Club GFWC Scholarships: The Illinois Federation of Women's Clubs will again be offering numerous scholarships. Students are eligible if pursuing a career in areas such as Art, Drama, Music, Vocational, or Education. Applications are available in the Core and are due February 15, 2020.

 

Mediacom Scholarship- Again this year, Mediacom is offering 55 $1,000 scholarships to senior high school students who live in the 21 states where Mediacom provides cable, internet, and telephone services. Apps are available at www.mediacomworldclass.com and are due 

February 15th, 2020.

 

Farm Credit Illinois- Thirty $2,000 scholarships will be given to graduating seniors planning to pursue an agricultural related degree. Applications are available online athttp://farmcreditil.com/resources/community/scholarships/Pages/default.aspx and are due February 28, 2020.

 

The National Defense Transportation Association (NDTA) Scholarship- The NDTA scholarships are awarded in the amounts ranging from $1,500-$3,000. Priority is given to students majoring in Business, Transportation Logistics, or Physical Distribution related programs. Applications are available in the Core and are due March 1st, 2020. 

 

Illinois Masonic Scholarships: The Scottish Rite Scholarship Fund for Health Career Fields are available through the Illinois Grand Lodge and Scottish Rite Masons. In addition, several scholarships are available for those students with a Masonic affiliation. Applications are available at http://www.aasrdanville.org/?page_id=48 and are due March 1, 2020.

 

Illinois Elks Association Scholarship: The Illinois Elks will be offering scholarships to seniors majoring in Physical or Occupational Therapy as well as scholarships to seniors going into Physical or Occupational Therapy Assistant programs. Applications are available atillinoiselksccc.org and are due March 6th, 2020.

The Juniorette Club is sponsoring a project called “Shoe Box Operation Christmas Child”, along with the First Christian Church.  They have brought boxes and information in the office. Any student who would like to participate may grab a box, fill it and return it to the office by

Auditions for the spring musical, The Addams Family, will take place Wednesday (12/11) & Thursday (12/12) after school in the choir room. Audition packets may be picked up

Friday the 13th will be Ugly Sweater contest.  Wear you tackiest ugly sweater and win a prize.

 

The Marine Corp Reserve is sponsoring a TOYS FOR TOTS drive that will continue until Christmas.  There is a large box in the front foyer of the HS and they are accepting UNWRAPPED, NEW TOYS ONLY!
