Students please check your school email or click this link to order your homecoming t-shirt for this year.

 

The Math Team will be meeting on Tuesday, March 2 @2:15pm for the final meeting before the Math Contest.  Everyone must attend.  Check Google Classroom for details.

 

Science Olympiad will be meeting on Tuesday, March 2 @2:30pm for the final meeting before the competition.  Everyone must attend.  Check Google Classroom for details.

 

Any junior or senior that would be interested  in getting paid to take tickets for an Tuscola antique show on Saturday, March 6th from approximately 7:30 to mid afternoon, please let Mr. Bozarth know as soon as possible.  

 

Male Juniors: Please see Mr. Bozarth by Friday, March 12th if interested in attending Boys State this summer. This is a truly memorable experience in participating in a government themed camp. No cost to attend!

 

....Anyone with a library book out - PLEASE, return or renew. You DO receive an email with the reminder it's overdue. There are over 60 students/staff with overdues. If you still need it, no problem, just renew it ASAP. If you are remote, send me an email (This email address is being protected from spambots. REMINDER, if you drive and park at school you need to have a parking permit sticker and have your car registered each year. If you haven’t registered this year please come by the office and do so. Parking permits are $10. We will be checking parking lots in the next few weeks for stickers. Cars without stickers may be issued a detention.

 

2020-21 yearbooks are now for sale.  Cost is $45.  You may order with Mrs. Hoel or order on the district's website.

Illinois Elks Association Scholarship: The Illinois Elks will be offering scholarships to seniors majoring in Physical or Occupational Therapy as well as scholarships to seniors going into Physical or Occupational Therapy Assistant programs. Applications are available atillinoiselksccc.org and are due March 5th, 2021.  

 

Farm Credit Illinois- Thirty $2,000 scholarships will be given to graduating seniors planning to pursue an agricultural related degree. Applications are available online athttp://farmcreditil.com/resources/community/scholarships/Pages/default.aspx and are due

 March 12th, 2021. 

 

Illinois Odd Fellow-Rebekah Scholarship- Any senior is invited to apply for this scholarship which is awarded based on financial need and scholastic ability. Applications are available in Mr. Bozarth's office and are due March 1st, 2021. 

 

Illinois Federation of Business Women's Clubs Scholarships: The IFBW is offering six $2,000 scholarships to high school seniors and returning college students. Applicants must be female students from the state of Illinois with a 3.0 or above GPA. Applications can be found online athttp://www.ifbwc.org/scholarships and are due March 15th, 2021.

 

Lloyd and Selma Sweeney Scholarship: Seniors in Coles or Douglas County who are pursuing degrees in either Ag or Healthcare related fields are eligible for this $5,000 scholarship. Applications are available in the Mr. Bozarth's office and are due March 19th, 2021. 

 

Douglas County Pheasants Forever Scholarship: The Douglas County Pheasants Forever is again offering the Tom Innes Memorial Scholarship to a child, niece, nephew, or grandchild of a Pheasants Forever member. Applications are available in Mr. Bozarth's office and are due 

March 30th, 2021.

 

Springfield Diocesan Council of Catholic Women: Four scholarships in the amount of $500 will be awarded to four outstanding Catholic Senior Girls. Applications are available in Mr. Bozarth's office and are due March 30th, 2021.   

 

TCHS Alumni Scholarship: This annual scholarship is for seniors graduating from Tuscola whose sibling, parent, or grandparent is also a graduate of TCHS. Applications are available in Mr. Bozarth's office and are due April 5th, 2021. 

 

S.T.E.M. Ricardo and Mercedes Izquierdo Scholarship: This "Special" Alumni Scholarship of $500 will be presented to a 2021 senior this year who is going into a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) related field. Applications are available in Mr. Bozarth's office and are due April 5th, 2021.

 

Donald J. Lindley and Belle H. Lindley Scholarships: This scholarship is again being offered and is based on financial need and a 3.0 GPA. Applications are available in Mr. Bozath's office and are due April 15th, 2021.






Sarah Bush Lincoln Scholarships: The Sarah Bush Lincoln Health System Guild Scholarship Committee will be giving out 3 scholarships (Guild Scholarship, Dr. C.D. Swickard Scholarship, and Vasudeo Shripad Joag Scholarship) to students pursuing a career in a health related field. Heritage Family Farms Ag Scholarship: Any high school senior from Arcola, ALAH, Tuscola or Villa Grove who plans to pursue an Ag field in college is eligible to apply for this scholarship. Tuscola Kiwanis: Kiwanis is once again offering scholarships to graduating seniors of TCHS. Applications are available in Mr. Bozarth's office and are due April 16th, 2021.

 

Lake Fork Sportsman's Club Jim Guthridge Memorial Scholarship: A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a high school senior with a 3.0 GPA or higher who is interested in the outdoors. Applications are available in Mr. Bozarth's office and are due April 16th, 2021.

 

Tuscola GSA (Gay Straight Alliance) Booster Club Scholarship: This scholarship was established in 2020 by the GSA Booster Club. Any senior at TCHS who is a member of the GSA club is encouraged to apply. Applications are available in Mr. Bozarth's office and are due

April 16th, 2021.

 

Cletcher-Wessale Scholarship: This local scholarship is for Tuscola graduates who must be pursuing a college, graduate school, or medical school education in the area of medicine, including training as a physician, or within a related healthcare field. Applications are available in the Core and are due April 16th, 2021. 

 

Georgine McDonald Trust Scholarship: This local scholarship is for seniors who will be graduating from one of the four Douglas County High Schools. Applicants must have a 2.5 GPA and be entering the field of fine or liberal arts, medicine, law, or agriculture. Applications are available in the Core and are due April 16th, 2021.

Thursday: Country/Cowboy! (Drive your tractor to school!) 

Friday: Wear Blue! (Barnyard in the ag shop) 

 

This is a reminder for all the basketball teams - your picture day iS TODAY.  All players will need to have their picture taken (even if you are not buying any pictures).  All will need to bring a form at least filled out at the top - in ALL CAPS if possible. Even if you are ordering online, the top part of the form needs to be filled out and then check the box that says ordering online.  Please wear the uniform you want your individual picture taken in.  Coaches have given you the specifics on place and time.  

 

Each morning of FFA Week we will be asking an agriculture related question over the PA system. Whoever calls Mrs. Sandiford first with the correct answer will win a prize! 

We would love for as many students and teachers to participate as possible! This is such a fun week and we are so excited to share in this celebration with everyone!

Donald J. Lindley and Belle H. Lindley Scholarships: This scholarship is again being offered and is based on financial need and a 3.0 GPA. Applications are available in Mr. Bozath's office and are due April 15th, 2021.






Sarah Bush Lincoln Scholarships: The Sarah Bush Lincoln Health System Guild Scholarship Committee will be giving out 3 scholarships (Guild Scholarship, Dr. C.D. Swickard Scholarship, and Vasudeo Shripad Joag Scholarship) to students pursuing a career in a health related field. Heritage Family Farms Ag Scholarship: Any high school senior from Arcola, ALAH, Tuscola or Villa Grove who plans to pursue an Ag field in college is eligible to apply for this scholarship. Applications are available athttps://www.heritage-familyfarms.com/agricultural-scholarship/ and are due April 15th, 2021.  

 

Tuscola Kiwanis: Kiwanis is once again offering scholarships to graduating seniors of TCHS. Applications are available in Mr. Bozarth's office and are due April 16th, 2021.

 

Lake Fork Sportsman's Club Jim Guthridge Memorial Scholarship: A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a high school senior with a 3.0 GPA or higher who is interested in the outdoors. Applications are available in Mr. Bozarth's office and are due April 16th, 2021.

 

Tuscola GSA (Gay Straight Alliance) Booster Club Scholarship: This scholarship was established in 2020 by the GSA Booster Club. Any senior at TCHS who is a member of the GSA club is encouraged to apply. Applications are available in Mr. Bozarth's office and are due

April 16th, 2021.

 

Cletcher-Wessale Scholarship: This local scholarship is for Tuscola graduates who must be pursuing a college, graduate school, or medical school education in the area of medicine, including training as a physician, or within a related healthcare field. Applications are available in the Core and are due April 16th, 2021. 

 

Georgine McDonald Trust Scholarship: This local scholarship is for seniors who will be graduating from one of the four Douglas County High Schools. Applicants must have a 2.5 GPA and be entering the field of fine or liberal arts, medicine, law, or agriculture. Applications are available in the Core and are due April 16th, 2021.
