AXA Achievement Scholarships- AXA Advisors of Springfield will award one time scholarships of $2,500, $10,000, or $25,000 to qualified high school seniors who have demonstrated ambition and drive, determination to set and reach goals, and the ability to succeed in college. Applications are available at www.axa.com/achievers and are due TODAY.

 

Don Chappell Memorial NWTF Scholarship- This local scholarship is for seniors who are interested in hunting. Applications are available in the Core and are due December 19th, 2017.

 

Eastern Illini Electric Cooperative- EIEC has announced that ten scholarships, of $2,000 each, will be awarded in 2018 through the Thomas H. Moore IllinoisElectric Cooperatives (IEC) Memorial Scholarship Program. Five scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors who are the sons or daughters of an Illinois electric cooperative member receiving service from the cooperative. Applications are available at https://aiec.coop/iec-memorial-scholarship-official-rules/ and are due December 31st, 2017.

 

National Wild Turkey Federation- The NWTF is again offering the Dr. James Earl Kennamer Academic Scholarship to a graduating senior. Applicants must be a current member of the NWTF. Applications are available in the Core and are due January 1st, 2018.

 

CBAI Foundation for Community Banking: The CBAI Foundation is again offering numerous scholarships to those students who best capture the idea of the importance of community banking. Applications are available to all seniors in the Core and are due January 25th, 2018.

 

America's Farmers Grow Ag Leaders Scholarship- This scholarship, sponsored by the Monsanto Fund, is available to seniors pursuing an ag related field. Applications are available at ffa.org/scholarships and and are due February 1st, 2018.




Farm Credit Illinois- Thirty $2,000 scholarships will be given to graduating seniors planning to pursue an agricutural related degree. Applications are available online at http://farmcreditil.com/resources/community/scholarships/Pages/default.aspx and are due February 28, 2018.

 

Illinois Odd Fellow-Rebekah Scholarship- Any senior with a 2.0 GPA or better is invited to apply for this scholarship which is awarded based on financial need. Applications are available online at http://www.ioof-il.org and are due March 1st, 2018.

From today until the last day of finals, Tuscola High School SADD is sponsoring a “Giving the Gift of Kindness and Self-esteem Daily Challenge” Each day on the announcements and on our TCHS SADD Twitter account, we will issue a kindness challenge that we hope you will all participate in to make Tuscola High School, Tuscola, Illinois, and a little piece of the world a kinder and better place. These challenges are inspired by the author Lori Deschene.

Today's challenge for Tuscola SADD's Giving the Gift of Kindness and Self-esteem is:  Be patient and understanding with the people you interact with during this busy holiday season; you never know what they are going through.

 

Anyone that ordered a Black Pack shirt needs to turn in their $13 to Caleb Stumeier or Dakota Denny by TODAY.

 

If you would still like to join Tuscola High School SADD, please see Mrs. Hoel.  T-shirt sizes for SADD are due by the end of the day TODAY  to Mrs. Hoel.

 

FBLA Holiday party this Saturday night, December 16th. Check the bulletin board outside the business classes for more information.

 

There will be a preseason meeting for all Warrior Baseball Players at 4:00 on Tuesday, December 19th in the Study Hall.  If you anticipate being a part of Warrior Baseball in the spring, your attendance is necessary.  In the event you have a conflict, please contact Coach Hoel.

 

Pick up for the Warrior Store orders will  be in the library after school TODAY.

The 2018 Douglas County CEO class is hosting a steak dinner and reverse raffle. The grand prize of the raffle will be up to $7500. The dinner will be held January 20th. See Zach Pankau, Ethan Stumeier, or Caleb Stumeier for more information.



The library will be open for anyone wanting to study during finals on Monday and Tuesday.

Our 9th Annual Coaches vs. Cancer event will take place on Monday, December 11, 2017 - 6 pm at Tuscola High School during the TCHS Girls' Basketball Games (JV at 6 pm, Varsity to follow) against Central A&M.

All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society.

T-shirt, baseball tee (3/4 sleeve), & crewneck sweatshirt orders must be placed by noon on Friday, December 1, 2017. Order forms can be picked up and dropped off in the HS office.You will be contacted when orders are ready. You can also pick up your order at the 9th Annual Coaches vs. Cancer event on Monday, December 11. What to expect: $1 half court shots, special halftime performance during the Varsity game with Tuscola Warriorettes & friends & donations will be accepted throughout the evening. For every 3-point shot made during the Varsity game (both Tuscola and Central A&M), First Federal Bank of Tuscola will donate $10 to the American Cancer Society (up to $100)!
